Elizabeth Hamilton Programme Manager

Elizabeth (Libby) was an intern at Bristol Pre-Conservatoire for two years during her degree at the University of Bristol and is delighted to be returning to support Chris. Libby studied the cello and piano at the Junior Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester whilst at school, and here she achieved an ABRSM Diploma in Music Performance (Cello, Dist.).
She studied Music at the University of Bristol, and graduated in 2024 with a First-Class Honours degree. Libby spent much of her degree focusing on cello performance, studying with Harriet Wiltshire, and feels lucky to have been the recipient of awards for her playing including the ‘Thomas Beecham Prize’ awarded for her first-year recital and the ‘J H Britton Prize for Performance’ awarded for her final third-year recital. Her most memorable moment of her degree was performing Saint-Saëns Cello Concerto no.1 at St George’s Concert Hall accompanied by the University of Bristol Chamber Orchestra in 2024.
Now a graduate, Libby is undertaking a full-time graduate scheme in the NHS over in Bath. She still plays as much as possible alongside the job and apprenticeship, and currently plays with the Bristol Symphony Orchestra and the Bath Symphony Orchestra.
