Auditions 2026

Auditions are being held for the 2026-2027 Academic Year on 17 May 2026, 2-5pm at Cote Ln, Westbury on Trym, Bristol BS9 3UN.

Minimum requirements:

Intermediate programme

Grade 6+ technical standard, motivation and musical curiosity.

Grade 7+ technical standard, excellent motivation and a high level of musical curiosity.

Audition format for both programmes:

Audition takes c. 10 minutes. Applicants must come prepared to play two contrasting pieces on one or more instruments (accompanist provided). Audition will include a friendly chat with the Artistic Directors and a basic improvisation activity using simple scales and arpeggios.
